GAF certification covers the roofing side, while James Hardie certification applies to siding installations. That combination allows comprehensive exterior work under a single contractor. The Tri-Cities climate presents specific challenges. Summer temperatures regularly exceed 100 degrees, baking roofing materials under intense UV exposure. Winters bring freezing temperatures and occasional snow. This thermal cycling stresses materials differently than the wet west side of the state, and material selection must account for it.
